The first division of our organ (the great) was installed in 1872 by Forster and Andrews at a cost of £101 (£6,300 today). An upgrade followed in 1890 with the addition of the swell and pedal organs at a cost of over £300 (£24,000 today).  The pedal organ was further extended in...…???

 The organ specification is:

Pedal         Bourdon (16')

Great         Open diapason (8')

                   Stopped diapason (8')

                   Dulciana (8')

Swell          Lieblich Gedact (8')

                   Viol d'orchestre (8')

                   Principal (4')

Couplers   Swell to Great

                   Great to Pedal

Balanced swell pedal

Although small, the organ is adequate for the size of the church.  The preponderance of 8' stops is the greatest limitation, but this can be minimised with a little ingenuity.
